Knitting You Class and Events Policies

Registration

Before registering please review all Terms and Conditions.

Registration is only available online or by mail on a first come, first served basis.

If a class has a scheduled time, select the date and time of the class you wish to attend and proceed with registration by completing the registration form and full payment.  If the class has reached the maximum number of students, you may choose to be added to the wait list.  If you are waitlisted, you will be notified at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled first class meeting if there is room for you to attend. At that time you must complete registration and full payment to reserve your spot.

If a class does not have a scheduled time, contact Knitting You by email at sbeard@knittingyou.com to indicate your interest in the class and your preference for week day daytime, week day evening, or weekend day scheduling.  You will be notified of the scheduling of the class at least 2 weeks in advance and registration and full payment of fees will be required at that time to hold a spot for you.

Payment

Payment in full by credit card or personal check is required to reserve a space in all classes.

If you desire to pay by personal check, please download and complete the registration form and mail it along with your check to:

If you mail registration and payment, make sure it arrives at least 7 days in advance of the first scheduled class session.

Cancellations

Classes may be cancelled if a minimum class size is not reached within 7 days of the first scheduled class meeting.  In the case of unforeseen circumstances including inclement weather, Knitting You will attempt to notify you as soon as possible for the need to postpone and re-schedule the class meeting to make up any missed sessions.  Contact Knitting You at sbeard@knittingyou.com if you have any doubts that the class will be held.

Refunds

You will receive a full refund if you cancel more than 7 days before the first scheduled class meeting.  If you cancel later than 7 days prior, you will receive a full refund only if your spot can be filled from the wait list.  If you do not cancel in time for a refund, you may choose to send someone in your place.  Please notify Knitting You at sbeard@knittingyou.com if this is the case.  If Knitting You cancels the class, you will receive a full refund or credit for another class. You will be notified within 48 hours of the first scheduled class meeting if class is cancelled.

Make-up for Missed Classes

If you are unable to attend a session of any class that has 3 or more sessions you may make up the missed session at no cost.  If you need to make up more than one session, each additional make-up session is charged $25 per a 2 hour session.  Make up sessions are scheduled on an individual basis.

Supplies

Unless noted in the class description, supplies are not included in the class fee.  You will receive a class supply list when you register.  Please bring all supplies with you to each class.  It is recommended that you assemble a “knitting toolbox” of basic supplies and carry it with you and your project.

Students

For you to be best prepared to participate and enjoy your class, please familiarize yourself with the required competencies for each class that you would like to attend.  If you have any questions regarding your ability or confidence in your skill as it relates to the class, contact Knitting You by email at sbeard@knittingyou.com to review appropriateness with the instructor.

Only those registered for class may attend.

If pre-work or homework is required, please make every effort to complete it prior to coming to class so that we are able to proceed and make progress towards the learning goals at each session.  If you have concerns about being able to do so, contact Knitting You at sbeard@knittingyou.com for additional help.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the class so that you can settle in and be ready to begin on time. This allows us to have the full time alloted for learning.

Class handouts are protected by copyright and are only available to those who register and attend class.  Please respect this proprietary material and do not copy or distribute without written permission of Knitting You.

Guarantee

Making your learning experience valuable to you is our top priority and finding the best-fit learning option for you is our pleasure.  If you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to address your concerns and fully refund the class fee or apply it to another of your choosing.
